Construction Works is a Hull based company that aims to support the construction industry within the city, linking developers and contractors with the workforce and businesses of Hull. The company is committed to supporting the local economy and promoting the use of local labour, and with Construction Works now on board with Hull Esteem Consortium for the construction of the Archbishop Sentamu Academy, these values will continue to be strengthened.
Mark Fraser, Senior Placement Officer at Construction Works, said: "Construction Works provides Apprentices for both the Archbishop Sentamu Academy and Winifred Holtby & Tweendykes sites. Over the course of the next three or four years, for the duration of the Hull BSF Programme, we will anticipate that over 200 Apprentices will work and train on the projects, so it will have a huge impact on the city.
"A programme of this size and stature in Hull has the capability of benefitting a large number of young people, handing out apprenticeships to large construction projects and giving the apprentices a perfect taste of an industry that they are passionate about.
"It is very important that Hull Esteem Consortium is focusing on Hull businesses to compile the supply chain for the projects. It should always be a priority, and the fact that local jobs are being guaranteed, as well as the creation of new jobs, is an excellent legacy to leave in Hull.
"Construction Works is delighted to be part of the BSF Programme. This gives us more scope to provide more apprenticeships, as well as widening our contact within the industry. We are doing something positive for the construction industry by linking capital programmes, the construction sector and opportunities together in Hull."
