D3 Office Group, since being formed in 1988, has grown into one of the largest companies of its kind in the north of England, offering a substantial range of office furniture and supplies from its head office in Hull and branch office in Leeds. As Hull Esteem Consortium prepares to deliver Hull's Building Schools for the Future project on behalf of Hull City Council, D3 Office Group is committing its efforts to assist with the work that will take place throughout the city.
The Hull-based company provides industrial, commercial and office sites with fit-out work and office furniture, as well as providing office supplies, striving to make life easy for its customers. Working with a number of businesses across the public and private sectors, including NHS, NISA Today's (Holdings), eon and Reckitt Benckiser, the team at D3 Office Group are passionate about customer service and the professional relationships that they form, which they hope will include being a supply chain member for Hull Esteem Consortium in the near future.
Andy Mosey, director at D3 Office Group, said: "A project like this is crucial to helping Hull to prosper and grow, both in terms of the standards of education in the city and the level of business that is carried out by local companies. It's an excellent commitment for Hull Esteem Consortium to prioritise businesses from the HU postcode area when they come to select their supply chain members, as it allows the money from the scheme to be invested back into the city.
"Plenty of schools in the city look out of date and are in need of updating. The children of Hull, including mine, are using old equipment and there is a desperate need to modernise - something that the Hull Building Schools for the Future project will achieve.
"We provide both office and education furniture to businesses across the country, and specialise in providing both planning, procedure and project management services to assist with construction projects. We work with a number of manufacturers that supply products to us exclusively, so we would be able to deliver a service that is unique and one that we are fully experienced and knowledgeable about.
"If we were awarded a contract to be involved in the construction process, D3 Office Group would have the chance to give something back to the community through helping to make a difference in the Hull and East Riding area.
"We have a strong team in place currently and are working to our potential, as is the norm for companies operating in the recession, but if we were given a contract we would need to expand, and obviously we would have to consider a recruitment drive, targeting local people, to assist us with an anticipated increase in workload."
