Operating from their headquarters in Hull, Delaney Marling Partnership is a building and property consultancy that specialises in providing comprehensive advice to clients on all aspects of property construction. With over 30 years experience in the industry between them before setting up the partnership, the two people behind Delaney Marling Partnership have now assisted Hull Esteem Consortium's work on the Building Schools for the Future (BSF) project.
The company's directors, Simon Delaney and Kevin Marling, are focusing on the exciting transformation to the education available to the children of Hull, with Hull Esteem Consortium working on behalf of Hull City Council to deliver 17 new schools to the city. The experience that Delaney Marling Partnership has dealing with buildings and construction is something that has led to a successful partnership with the BSF programme, and the two directors at the company pleased with the involvement already seen.
Kevin Marling, director at Delaney Marling Partnership, said: "We have seen on plenty of occasions in the past where large schemes have arrived in Hull with plenty of investment involved, but the local business community was unable to feel the benefits. With the Hull BSF project making a commitment to businesses from HU postcodes, it allows companies in Hull to be more secure and benefit from the skills that we have to offer as a city.
"As a company we operate throughout the north of England, but to be involved in a huge project in Hull will actually open doors for us closer to home, enabling us to build up a relationship with potential clients on our doorstep. We are keen to take part in the BSF programme, not just for the benefits that we are experiencing as a company but for the impact it will have on Hull.
"On a personal note, I have 16 years worth of experience in the education sector, working at local authority level alongside schools as a consultant, whilst my business partner also has relevant experience for this project, so as a company we have the knowledge needed for this project. We are comfortable operating across all sectors, due to the experience that we have developed working with clients for over 30 years between us.
"We call upon a network of local people, namely building surveyors, mechanical engineers and architects to supplement our services, and in the future, should we have the need to expand due to an increased workload as a result of joining the supply chain, we will guarantee that we continue our locally-sourced recruitment."
The Delaney Marling Partnership has now provided Sewell Group assistance with creating asset data for Newland School for Girls. Existing reports were extended by DMP to include a larger proportion of the school campus.
