Expotrak Group/HMC

The Expotrak Group was established in 1971 and is now one of only two demolition contractors in the Hull area. 33 years ago the company diversified into both on/offshore equipment purchase/sales, oil terminal and chemical plant dismantling and specialist demolition which remains the major contributor to company turnover.

During the lifespan of the business, Expotrak has built up an excellent reputation for quality, service and safety and has established sound and trusting working relationships with our clients.

Expotrak have worked hard to achieve its "Best in Industry" reputation for its specialist dismantling and demolition skills, and over the last decade has added hazardous waste and contaminated land remediation to its portfolio.

The Group comprises the following operating divisions and provides a comprehensive and specialist service to the chemical, pharmaceutical, gas and utility industries for specialist dismantling/demolition contracts, remediation of contaminated sites, asbestos removal and hazardous waste management.

Expotrak were approached by Hull Esteem Consortium after the company registered an interest in working on the Building Schools for the Future programme at the initial stage of the project. They were recruited to form part of the supply chain and completed phase one demolition work at Endike Primary School, Malet Lambert School, Andrew Marvel School and the old sites of Northern Academy and Archbishop Thurstan School, which are now Thomas Ferens and Archbishop Sentamu respectively.

The company is now set to perform phase two demolition work at Endike Primary School and Malet Lambert School in 2012, following successful initial phases. Expotrak is also looking forward to the possibility of providing its services for Andrew Marvel School and Oakfield Special Needs School.

Expotrak illustrated their commitment to providing the best service possible in their attitude towards unforeseen circumstances. When working at Endike Primary School, much of the demolition work was behind schedule due to asbestos levels being higher than originally thought at the site. Expotrak worked around this to bring work schedules back up to date by supplying additional machinery to the school.
