Force-7 is a local youth marketing agency, based on the High Street of Hull city centre. Originally set up by a group of school friends, Force-7 utilises the skills of young people and provides highly sought-after opportunities to break into the industry.
The group of entrepreneurs first developed the Young Enterprise Company Programme with the idea of giving young people the chance to set up a business for one academic year. Force-7 took off and went from being a school-based company to winning industry awards and building on the services they offer to a wide range of clients.
The team at Force-7 consists primarily of individuals aged 16-26, who offer an extensive list of communications services from youth workshops and social media to street team, distribution services and experiential marketing.
Phil Batty, Director at Force7, said: "Our focus on young enterprise reflects the values the BSF programme has of putting young people at the forefront of local development. Our investment in young people shares the mission of creating young enterprise amongst the city's pupils.
"We've found the attitude of the Hull business community towards young people setting up a company really supportive. Throughout 2011, we've had the pleasure of taking on work experience students from many of the new BSF schools. Having worked with these pupils it has only confirmed for us the importance of developing the education and skills needed to give Hull students the start they need in life."
Force-7 has worked previously with the BSF team and Hull Esteem Consortium to ensure the voice of young people was represented in the development of the new schools, a challenge Esteem embraced with open arms. Force-7 has also worked on the marketing of the Autumnal Ball, held in October 2011, to celebrate the achievements of the BSF programme so far.
