The Freedom Centre

The award winning Freedom Centre offers the very best for business and the community. Built in 2005 as part of a major regeneration project to the east of Hull City Centre, The Freedom Centre has superb facilities and provides a range of services which are second to none. Operated by Preston Road Enterprises, a not for profit social enterprise reporting to the PRNDC Charity, the income generated at the Centre is used to provide a range of community events and services.

The Centre comprises a cafe, gym, library and eight superbly appointed function suites. The multi-purpose Freedom Suite can accommodate up to 300 people, has a full size theatre stage and sound, lighting and AV equipment including a giant 8m x 4m projection screen. The Centre is also home to an NHS Minor Treatment Unit, Adult Education Centre and Hairdressing Salon.

The Centre provides facilities for many businesses in Hull including the Council, NHS, Seven Seas, Veolia, Sewell Groups, Morgan Sindall, Hull & Humber Chamber of Commerce, Probe and the Hull Esteem Consortium. It presents the ideal venue for a business meeting, conference or exhibition and is the perfect setting for a wedding reception, party or special occasion. With a regular calendar of events the Centre offers something for everyone.

Located next to the new Archbishop Sentamu Academy site, The Freedom Centre has offered facilities for meetings, seminars, public consultations and events for the project. The Cafe also presents an easy reach catering facility for the contractors working on the site.

Richard Moorhouse, Business Manager at the Freedom Centre, said: "Any part we can play to aid further development and regeneration in Hull to bring greater trade, skills and money in to the local economy is vital for us as a company and Hull as a city. In these particularly challenging times it is important to work together with partners such as the Hull Esteem Consortium to achieve these targets."

"The Freedom Centre is committed to providing jobs and opportunities for local people and works with a number of partners to ensure these opportunities are available to all."
