GAP Group was founded in 1969 as Gordon Anderson Plant as a family-run company, now in the hands of managing directors, Douglas and Iain Anderson, continuing to build on the success their father established over 40 years ago.
The company now employs over 900 people and serves the UK in supplying a vast range of plant supplies and industrial tools. GAP Group stock a wide range of equipment, but endeavour to meet all customer requests by sourcing any items required externally to meet the needs of the consumer base. Under the GAP Group is GAP Managed Services, taking care of outsourcing any equipment necessary and providing management for all associated administration and credit control.
GAP Group Ltd has been involved with the Building Schools for the Future programme from the initial stage of the project, supplying equipment to the Archbishop Sentamu Academy. Since the success of the first phase and the completion of the project, the company has gone on to support Andrew Marvell School in its industrial hire needs. GAP Group has supplied equipment varying from large, industrial generators, to pressure washers and small industrial power tools.
