Hull Catering & Shop Equipment / Joynsons

Hull Catering & Shop Equipment has been providing commercial catering equipment for 118 years. With such a wealth of experience and history, the Hull-based company is now looking to the future as it prepares for the potential that Hull's Building Schools for the Future may call upon its expertise to assist with the construction of schools throughout the city.

The company's success has been built on a commitment to quality products and a personal service that has helped to form a strong relationship with major companies, authorities and businesses within the Hull area.

Greg Tinker, director at Hull Catering & Shop Equipment, said: "With Hull Esteem Consortium giving the chance for local companies in Hull to become part of the supply chain for Hull's Building Schools for the Future project, the city will undoubtedly experience a high level of regeneration and growth.

"Keeping the contracts that are handed out local will ensure that jobs are produced for more people in the area, rather than looking at out of town contractors. This will hopefully make Hull a better place to live and work, and we are looking forward to being a part of it.

"If we are given a contract, we would definitely have to put specific teams in place as it is such a massive project which will require a special commitment and focus. With the Building Schools for the Future project being unprecedented in Hull, we would need to recruit people to form our design and installation teams, to ensure that we can deliver our high standard of service on a larger scale.

"With so much experience to hand as a commercial catering company, supplying for several schools and colleges, including Wilberforce College, Hull College and several local education institutes, the experience that we have in the education sector will allow us to take on any work in the knowledge that we have delivered similar projects in the past successfully."
