The local commercial cleaning franchise of ServiceMaster, trading as Humber Cleaning & Maintenance, has over 50 years experience in the cleaning business, with a reputation for a guarantee of service, quality and professionalism. The Hull-based company is readying itself for the chance to become part of the Building Schools for the Future project that Hull Esteem Consortium will deliver to the city, having already built up a working relationship with the consortium through work in its offices.
Vince Bolger, managing director, said: "I can't stress enough how important it is that everything is kept local with a project like this. The funds need to be kept local so that the money that is being invested in the education sector in Hull is recycled through local businesses and it filters through to as many people as possible.
"If we were to be given a contract to work alongside Hull Esteem Consortium, it would help guarantee the future of the business and also give our employees added job security. The impact of the project would be massive, not only for us as a company and an employer, but for every business that is going to be involved.
"ServiceMaster has worked across a number of sectors, providing a range of cleaning services to clients throughout the whole of the Hull and East Yorkshire area, as well as further afield into the traditional Humberside area. We work a wide range of commercial premises from shopping centres, cinemas, car showrooms, medical centres as well as offices. We currently clean the offices of Hull Esteem Consortium ? which led to us beginning discussions as to how we could assist with their latest project.
"We recognise that in our business staff is our lifeline. We benefit from a low turnover of staff, which can be put down to our commitment to providing effective training having attained SAFE contractor accreditation last year, combined with ensuring staff have the correct equipment and chemicals to perform their duties, and the level of monitoring and supervision that we provide. This helps to ensure that the client receives the service they are looking for.
"The majority of our staff are from the city, and as we look to move forward and take on new projects such as Hull's Building Schools for the Future, we will continue to look towards using local people for our workforce."
