Independent Cleaning Services (ICS) is a Hull-based cleaning company whose wealth of experience in the provision of cleaning services has seen the company develop into one of the regions largest contract cleaning suppliers. ICS forms part of a group of companies called SPS Group FM - a facilities management group providing a single provider solution. Their expertise is now being focused on the Hull Building Schools for the Future (BSF) project that is set to transform education in the city.
ICS is a privately owned cleaning and support services company that provides coverage primarily throughout the north of England. The company has established a reputation for cleaning excellence, value and customer care, by focusing resources on a client's objectives, with client satisfaction and business retention being the best measure of their success. ICS offers a comprehensive range of cleaning services including daily contract cleaning, specialist/high level cleaning, graffiti removal, kitchen cleaning and fire/flood restoration.
With over 15 years experience in business, ICS is now looking to the future, focusing on the plans for new schools in Hull, to be delivered by Hull Esteem Consortium in the Building Schools for the Future project that will transform the state of education provision in the city.
Lee Stephenson, sales director at ICS, said: "In the current economic climate and with high unemployment in the Hull area, to see a project that will be investing heavily in the city's people and businesses is massively important. With so much pressure and expectation on the shoulders of today's students, a project of this magnitude will guarantee that the children in the city are given the best facilities possible to achieve their full potential.
"It is imperative that we use this opportunity to put something back into the local economy, and by involving local companies in a local project, Hull Esteem Consortium will allow ourselves and every other HU postcode company the chance to do just that.
"We are already planning how we would manage the additional workload, and we can be certain that recruitment would be in the forefront of our thoughts. Ninety per cent of our workforce is locally sourced and we would continue this commitment, because for a local contract it would be imperative that we use local labour.
"The company is heavily involved in education, and we already have a model in place that has seen ICS successfully complete a number of projects in this sector. As a company, we have already met to discuss how we would transfer this model on to the Hull BSF projects."
