Local Transport Projects Ltd is an independent traffic engineering and transport planning practice based in Beverley. They work with public, private and voluntary sector bodies within Hull and across the UK on a wide range of highway projects.
The company was founded in November 2004 by directors, Andy Mayo and Tony Kirby, and has rapidly grown to be the largest traffic consultancy in the Hull and East Riding area. Since the company's formation 7 years ago, it has developed a national reputation for developing innovative, high quality traffic and transportation solutions.
LTP works throughout the UK and prides itself on being able to offer a solution to any highways problem, whether that be for individual businesses, community groups, or to support planning applications.
Tony Kirby, director at Local Transport Projects Ltd, said: "We have worked on many high profile developments across Hull including residential and retail schemes, and public sector developments for health centres and colleges. Our experience in the public sector made getting involved with the Building Schools for the Future programme particularly attractive to us. As we work in conjunction with many local organisations, this Hull-based development stood out as a great opportunity for us.
"We helped to secure planning permission by developing Transport Assessments and Travel Plans, through to technical approval with the Section 278 process and continuing with highway advice throughout the construction stage.
"We have continued to invest in our staff and have an excellent team that we want to grow in a sustainable way, making use of the best local talent and keeping in line with the aims of the BSF in keeping the programme local.
"We have really enjoyed working with Hull Esteem Consortium as it has given us the opportunity to make a real difference within the local area and improve transport facilities for the Hull community."
