Speedy Services

Speedy Services is the UK's leading provider of equipment and support services to the construction, manufacturing, industrial, rail and related industries. Formed in 1977, the company's dedication to putting the customer first and providing the most innovative equipment and services on the market means that Speedy now has more than 100,000 customers, 3700 employees and a network of 325 depots across the UK.

Speedy became part of the supply chain for the Building Schools for the Future programme right at the beginning of the project. The phase one schools, Archbishop Sentamu Academy and Winifred Holtby School saw Speedy's Hull depot work with the contractors of the new build projects to supply vital equipment including scaffolding, hand tools and access equipment. Since then Speedy have continued their active role in the supply chain by providing equipment to Oakfield Primary School, Andrew Marvell School and Malet Lambert School.

Gary Mellor, Depot Manager said: "We're proud to be a part of this project. These state of the art buildings will be enormously beneficial for the young people of Hull, and are a huge asset for the area. "Seeing so many Hull businesses work together on the project has been fantastic, and is evidence of how the benefits of large scale schemes like this filter right down the supply chain and create opportunities in the local community."
