Hull Esteem Consortium's construction partners are experts in the industry, and have been specifically selected for the impact they will have on the programme.
Sewell Group and Morgan Sindall Construction, Hobson & Porter and GEO Houlton will, between them, deliver a programme based on the successful completion of a substantial amount of large projects, particularly in the education sector, using their skills and experience as part of their plans. These organisations will bring local knowledge, expertise and resources to the Hull BSF programme, as well as both regional and national credibility and, as already discussed, an experience of working on projects like this.
The fact that Hull's new schools will be constructed by a workforce with a track record of building education developments means that we can be confident that the projects will meet the exact requirements of the schools. The knowledge that our construction partners have, along with the local supply chain members that will work alongside them in the construction process, will contribute to an understanding of what needs to be achieved for Hull to receive the boost to its education sector that it needs.
One of the aspects that we have been keen to drive home, is that this is not a construction that is being delivered to the city, but one that is for the city. It is essential that we guarantee a culture of lasting change as part of the project, and through working with the people and businesses of the city, we will restore the pride in Hull's schools.
